tonight is cold, don’t let me go. the sky is clear and we both know.

Was dagegen hilft?

Schaut doch mal wieder in Leipzig vorbei!

annabelle fragt x HUSKY

Hey guys, you have a name which couldn’t fit more to winter. Just tell us a bit about you and your Band please? „The explanation for the name Husky could not be less interesting – it is my name. Not very creative, but like most names they choose you rather than you choosing them. We’re cousins, we’ve been making music together forever just about. We’re working on our third album – it’s just about done.“

Currently you are in Australia. What do you like most at your homeland? „The beaches, we some of the best surf in the world and the most beautiful, wild beaches. The nature is incredibly diverse and powerful here. You could spend years exploring the deserts, rainforests, coastlines, mountains, reefs, islands…“

What can we expect from your new music? „It’s different to our previous albums. We’ve taken an attitude of being open to following our ears and hearts and imagination all the way, without watering anything down, without thinking things through or second guessing ourselves. Our producer Matt Redlich has helped a lot with that. We had that attitude from the beginning, even when I was writing the songs early on. The results are obvious, we think. The album is pretty huge.“

With this new video, can we expect a new album and a new german tour in 2017? „Yes, the new album is due middle of the year and we’ll be in Germany and Europe with the release.“

Do you have any tips/ideas how to deal with the winter till spring comes? „We are not used to very cold winters being from Melbourne. But we spent almost a year in Berlin and whiskey helps. Fires, whiskey, a warm body beside you. But eventually, the cold got to us and we escaped back to the Australian summer. So best bet to deal with the winter is come to Australia!“

Thank you, guys!
